• Robin Trower's impressive streak of albums ended here with his final record of the s. It's always difficult to accept such a dramatic drop off in quality by an artist who had been so restlessly creative but on "Caravan To Midnight" it appears that commercial considerations (the record label hoping for a hit) and the bottom line won out over the creative process.

• Caravan to Midnight is the 6th studio album by Robin Trower (but oddly it feels like the 5th- what album did I miss?) Robin's usual guitar playing that combines a unique blend of blues and soul is sometimes pushed to the back here probably because of the disco movement affecting the way rock artists approached music at the time.5/5(9).
